washington state lovelies
This post is a shout out to my dear friends, Jeremy and Alisha. I met these two crazy kids when I was a crew leader for VYCC in 2012. They are two of the most grounded, trustworthy, funny, kind, authentic and compassionate humans. I am not just being cheesy-they are truly that amazing. I was in the bridal party for this beautiful shindig this past fall. I was also fortunate enough to create the flowers. I posted a bit about my trip out west here. (see "gigantic dahlias") This is the follow up post with more pretty pictures. It was great to be able to play to their aesthetic since it was so close to my own, and to utilize the fresh local flowers from Pike Place market-where Alisha works. I love the brightness of the flowers against the cool grey and blues of the landscape. It was so much fun to be able to make their day perfect, even better to be in some great company. The funny thing is, I really wanted to toast them at the wedding, but got so emotional thinking about how much I truly love both of them-I couldn't do it (check out the last picture of me getting teary! ) Enjoy!!
Side note to all the flower geeks-the salal and cedar were harvested locally by Jeremy!
